So, how do you get started?  Go through the steps below and you will be on your way!

Step 1: Set up a personal account on Facebook.  You will need a personal profile in order to set up your business account.  Visit Facebook.com and fill out the sign up form.  If you already have an account, then move on to step 2.

You will need to confirm your account through email.

Step 2: Login to Facebook and Create your Business Page.  Visit the following link to get started: https://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php

Choose from the following categories according to which fits your Business or Brand:

• Local Business or Place
• Company, Organization or Institution
• Brand or Product
• Artist, Band or Public Figure
• Entertainment
• Cause or Community

For this tutorial, we will be setting up a Local Business or Place Page. Once you have clicked on ‘Local Business or Place‘, a short form will display.  You will need to choose a category for your type of business, and then fill out the remainder of the form completely, and click on Get Started.

You will be walked through adding a Profile Photo, Inputting information about your business, and setting up a unique username for your Facebook Page so that Fans are able to find you easily.

Your Business Page is now ready for you to begin filling it with content!

Step 3: Build your Content. The admin Panel will show up on the top of your Page.  You can click the upper right ‘Hide’ Button now in order to get started on building your content.

• Add a Cover Photo.  You will need a large image to be displayed here, 851px x 315 px.
• Invite your Friends and Email Contacts to like your Page.
• Post a Status Update – Tell Page visitors about your latest news, newest promotions, or just say hello.
